Linksy is a professional networking platform developed and operated by RATHNA Products, a division of RATHNA Groups. When you use Linksy, RATHNA Products acts as the data controller responsible for your personal information.

How We Use Your Data

• To create and manage your Linksy account.
• To display your profile to other users and enable networking.
• To personalise your feed, job recommendations, and connection suggestions.
• To send notifications about activity on your account (new messages, connection requests, reactions).
• To match you with relevant job opportunities.
• To verify Premium subscription payments.
• To ensure platform security, detect abuse, and prevent fraud.
• To improve the platform based on usage patterns.
• To send important service emails (welcome, password reset, account updates).

Data Storage & Security

• All user data is stored in Google Sheets and Google Drive under RATHNA Products' Google Workspace account.
• Files (photos, resumes, etc.) are stored in Google Drive with restricted access.
• Session tokens are stored in your browser's localStorage and persist until you log out or clear your browser data.
• We implement access controls to prevent unauthorised access to your data.
• ⚠️ Note on passwords: Passwords are currently stored in plain text in Google Sheets. We strongly recommend using a unique password for Linksy that you do not use elsewhere. We are working to implement password hashing in a future update.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data to any third party. Your data may be shared only in these limited circumstances:

• Other Linksy users: Your profile, posts, and activity are visible to other users based on your privacy settings.
• Google services: Data is stored using Google Sheets and Google Drive (Google Workspace). Google's own privacy policy applies to their infrastructure.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.
• RATHNA Groups: Aggregated, non-personal analytics may be shared within RATHNA Groups for business reporting.

Cookies & Local Storage

• Linksy uses localStorage (browser storage) to keep you logged in across sessions. This is not a cookie but functions similarly.
• We use sessionStorage temporarily for return-URL tracking during login redirects.
• We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.
• Google Sign-In (GIS) may set its own cookies as part of Google's authentication service.
• You can clear your browser's localStorage at any time to log out of all sessions.

Your Rights

As a Linksy user, you have the following rights over your data:

• Access: View all your profile data and activity from your account settings.
• Correction: Update or correct your information at any time via your profile settings.
• Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data from your profile settings. Data is removed within 30 days.
• Visibility control: Control who can see your profile, posts, and contact information via privacy settings.
• Opt-out of notifications: Manage email and in-app notification preferences from your settings.
• Data portability: Contact us to request an export of your data.

Data Retention

• Your data is retained for as long as your account is active.
• Upon account deletion, all personal data is removed within 30 days.
• Activity logs may be retained for up to 90 days for security and fraud prevention purposes.
• Payment records (UPI Transaction IDs) may be retained for up to 1 year for financial compliance.

Children's Privacy

Linksy is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If we become aware that a user is under 16, we will delete their account and associated data promptly. If you believe a child has registered, please contact us immediately.

Changes to This Policy

RATHNA Products may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify users of significant changes via in-app notification and email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
